District Governor Miguel "Mickey" Ortigas Jr.

Miguel M. Ortigas Jr. is the president of PRHC Property Managers, Inc. that specializes in property management. A son of a prominent late industrialist Miguel Ortigas Sr. and Isabel Miranda Ortigas, Mickey is a product of the La Salle educational system with BSBA and Liberal Arts degrees.
His present professional involvements include being the General Manager of Universal Travel Corporation; President, MOJ Bohol Prawn Farm; Meridian Assurance Corporation; former General Manager of Shangri-La Properties and President PRHC Property Managers, Inc.
Mickey in his younger dashing days had been a much-sought commercial model, star collegiate soccer, standout deep sea fishing enthusiast and promising golfer.
A commitment Rotarian since 1983, Mickey was the Charter President of the Rotary Club of Greenhills, a major donor, a benefactor and multiple Paul Harris fellow. He has served his club with exemplary distinction. He served the district in various positions as Deputy District Secretary, Deputy District Governor, Discussion Leader, Faculty, Resource Person in numerous district-sponsored events and Chairman of the Anti-Drub Abuse Task Force. He was the recipient of the Rotarian of the Year Award from his home club, distinguished service awards, plaques of appreciation from Past District Governors. He has attended training seminars in Bangkok, Thailand and the International Assembly last February 18-25, 2005 held in Anaheim, California, USA.
Mickey is married to the charming Marina Garrido Ortigas. They are blessed with five children, three boys and two girls. Four of them, a priest son, two artist sons and an entrepreneurial daughter are based in the U.S.A.
Having prepared himself well, after serving selflessly for twenty-two years, Mickey is now ready to assume the position of District Governor for Rotary year 2005-2006.
