Visiting Rotarian from RC Ballarat South Victoria, Australia

During the club's 14 January 2008 regular meeting, the Golden Westerners welcomed Rtn. Allan McKinnon
from the Rotary Club of Ballarat South Victoria, Australia. He is married to a beautiful Filipina,
Noemi, and are blessed by an only son, James. Rtn. Allan is not a stranger to the Philippines as
he has been coming back and forth in the Philippines since the first EDSA revolution. Currently,
he is a school principal in one of Australia's public school.
Rtn. Allan was able to make contact with our club when he saw the club's website. He e-mailed the club
with his intention of attending a Rotary meeting while on a 2-week vacation in the Philippines this
January. Rtn. Radian immediately extended the invitation to might as well attend the Rotary Club
of Marikina West's weekly Monday meetings. He said that he saw other Rotary clubs in the web but
said that RCMW's website is much "flashier" which is the reason he contacted the web administrator.
With that, we could safely say that the website clinched it for him. And as the saying goes,
"the rest is history".
