The Rotary Club of Marikina West delivered various relief goods to the flood stricken victims of the town of Montalban on 3 December 2004. Another delivery of relief goods is scheduled on the week of December 10 for the typhoon victims of Marikina City, specifically those from the Malanday, Marikina City area.
The project was initiated by PP Tuking Ponce de Leon who was also appointed by Centennial Pres. Boyet Sacro as Project Chairman. As early as Thursday night, December 02, Sec. Radian Fantone and PP Tuking sent text messages to all Golden Westerners and at the same time mobilized the club’s partner-in-service, the Rotaract Club to assist in the collection of the relief goods.
Centennial Pres. Boyet Sacro led the group of Golden Westerners that went to Montalban yesterday. Others in the group were Project Chairman PP Tuking, PP Rollie Fantone, Sec. Radian, Rtn. Ando Bernardino, RAC Pres. Joy Belarmino, Spouses Liza, Marly, Cora and Presidential son Renzo Sacro.
The relief goods delivered to Montalban consisted of old usable clothes, slippers, shoes, beddings including ½ sack of rice donated by Aud. Chito Valencia.

In line with volunteer work, members of the Rotaract Club of Marikina West also donated their precious time on a Sunday Dec 4, in packing relief goods for the GMA Kapuso Foundation. Rotaractors who trooped to GMA-7 were led by their RACMW Pres. Joy, PE Jericho, VP Michelle Duhan, Sec. Anne Duhan, IPP Jun Labrador, Dir. Marie Aboga, Rtn. RJ.
