The Rotary Club of Marikina West had its 22nd
Charter Anniversary, Awards Night, and Turnover Ceremonies
Ceremonies at The Gabaldon Room of Club Filipino,
Greenhills, San Juan on June 28, 2006.
It was attended by the
"Golden West" Rotarians, their
spouses, Rotarians from other clubs and other guests.
The kids of Incoming President Bayani Agabin and Spouse Deng also
graced the occassion. They are Jego, Patti, Danni, and Cassandra (still
in the womb at the time).
The
Golden West spouses
presented a modern-cultural number.
Also gracing the special occassion of the club was District Governor Mickey
Ortigas, Incoming District James Dee, Assistant Governor Ching Umali, and Incoming
Assistant Governor Ed Manzanares.
Pres. Rodelle Bolante gave his valedictory address highlighting the club's
achivements for Rotary Year 2005-06 with its theme "Service Above Self."
Awards were also given to "Golden West" Rotarians such as:
ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD for PP/Dir Pope Solis.
BABY ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD for Rtn. Jet Delos Santos.
MERITORIOUS AWARD for CLUB SERVICE for Dir. Radian Fantone and PP/Treas. Frix Africa.
MERITORIOUS AWARD for COMMUNITY SERVICE for VP/Pres-Nominee Dino Nolasco and Auditor Monching Francisco.
MERITORIOUS AWARD for VOCATIONAL SERVICE for PP Bojie Bernardino.
MERITORIOUS AWARD for INTERNATIONAL SERVICE for Rtn. Fuji Fujiwara.
PRESIDENTIAL SERVICE AWARDS for the officers and directors.
Capping the ceremonies is the introduction of Incoming Officers and Directors
for R.Y. 2006-2007 and the acceptance speech of IP Bayani Agabin.
After the ceremonies, it was FELLOWSHIP, FELLOWSHIP and more FELLOWSHIP.
Rotarians and Spouses went to Calle Alix Bar of PP Obet de Leon until the wee hours
of the morning.
